Warranty

At Help Me Geek, we are committed to delivering quality repairs and reliable service. This policy outlines our warranty coverage, return conditions, and change of mind terms in line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Repairs & Replacement Parts

All repairs come with a 30-day warranty on labour performed by our technicians. New parts installed during repairs are covered under the following terms:

These warranties apply to manufacturer defects and normal use only. Physical damage, liquid exposure, and third-party tampering are not covered.

Products Sold

All products include a Return to Base (RTB) warranty. Customers must return the item to our store for assessment.

What's Covered: Manufacturer faults in devices or parts supplied by Help Me Geek, and workmanship issues directly related to a repair we completed.

What's Not Covered: Damage from drops, spills, misuse, software issues/viruses, unauthorised third-party repairs, or normal battery degradation.

Data Disclaimer

Please back up your data before service. Help Me Geek is not liable for data loss during diagnostics or repair.

Proof of Purchase

A valid proof of purchase (such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement matching the transaction) is required for all warranty claims.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Return the item to our store with your proof of purchase.
  2. Explain the issue clearly to our staff.
  3. If the issue is covered under warranty or the ACL, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you.

Turnaround Time: Most warranty claims are completed within 3–5 business days, subject to part availability.

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for a change of mind once a product is purchased or after a repair service has been completed. This includes situations where you no longer want the product/service, chose the wrong item, or found it cheaper elsewhere.

Your Consumer Rights

This policy sits alongside your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). For major failures with a product or service, you are entitled to your choice of a replacement or refund. For minor failures, we will remedy the issue within a reasonable time.
